Steel & Rebar Detailing
Detailing sits between the engineer's design and the fabricator's shop floor, and it's where schedules slip. We produce shop drawings, placing drawings and fabrication data that go to approval clean.

Concrete deliverables, not vague promises.
Structural steel
- Shop drawings: assembly, single-part and sub-assembly
- Erection drawings and anchor bolt setting plans
- CNC and NC/DSTV files for fabrication
- Bolt lists, material lists and advance bills
- Connection detailing to the engineer's design criteria
Reinforcement
- Rebar placing drawings and section details
- Bar bending schedules to the governing standard
- Reinforcement quantity summaries and weight schedules
- Coupler, lap and splice detailing
Approval support
- Submittal packages formatted to the reviewer's requirements
- RFI preparation and tracking
- Revision management through approval cycles
- Back-check and comment incorporation
The engineer's design drawings and specification. Where connection design is by the detailer's engineer, we'll identify that at scoping so the responsibility is explicit before work starts.
Codes & standards
AISC 303 and AISC 360, CRSI and ACI 315 / ACI SP-66 for US reinforcement, BS 8666 for UK rebar scheduling, BS EN 1090 and Eurocode 3, AS/NZS 5131 and AS 3600 for Australian projects.
Full service engineering design. Delivered remotely.
- 01
Start with a bounded request
Send what you have — sketches, GIS/CAD files, pole data, spreadsheets. A named engineer reviews it and confirms a scoping timetable.
- 02
Agree scope, standards & criteria
Work begins once a written SOW sets deliverables, assumptions, standards and who owns each engineering decision.
- 03
Produce with visible controls
Assumptions, RFIs and progress are logged as they happen, not buried inside the drawing set.
- 04
Independent QA & handoff
A second reviewer checks the package against the SOW before a revision-tracked transmittal ships.

Who is responsible for connection design?
It varies by contract, and it needs establishing before detailing starts. Where connections are designed by others, we detail to their design. Where connection design falls to the detailer, that engineering must be performed and sealed by a licensed engineer: we'll structure the engagement accordingly rather than leaving the boundary vague.
How do you handle approval revisions?
Revision cycles are included in the scoped price up to an agreed number of rounds. Comment incorporation and back-check are part of the service, not a change order.
What fabrication data can you supply?
NC/DSTV files, CNC data, and material lists in the format your shop equipment reads. Tell us the machinery and we'll match the output.
Have a steel & rebar detailing project to scope?
A sketch, a photo, a spreadsheet: send what you have and we’ll take it from there.
