Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026
This is a working draft prepared for launch and pending review by qualified legal counsel before it is treated as final.
1. Agreement
These terms govern your use of the Pathworks Engineering website and any engineering design, drafting or documentation services requested through it. By submitting a quotation request or engaging Pathworks, you agree to these terms.
2. Quotation requests and scope
Submitting a request through Start a Project does not create a binding engagement. Each project begins once Pathworks issues a scoped quotation and you accept it in writing. The accepted quotation, not the original request, defines the deliverables, price, timeline and included revision rounds for that project.
3. Client responsibilities
- You confirm you have the right to share any files, sketches or data you submit.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide during scoping.
- Design and drafting deliverables are prepared based on the information supplied; material omissions or inaccuracies in that information can affect deliverable accuracy.
4. Deliverables and professional responsibility
Pathworks provides design, drafting and documentation support. Where a deliverable requires a licensed engineer’s stamp or seal in your jurisdiction, that certification remains the responsibility of a licensed engineer of record — yours or ours, as agreed per project — and is not implied by delivery of a drawing or report alone.
5. Payment
Per-project work is invoiced on the terms stated in your quotation, typically on delivery. Retainer engagements are billed monthly in advance. Accepted currencies and payment methods are confirmed during scoping.
6. Intellectual property
Upon full payment, ownership of the specific deliverables prepared for your project transfers to you. Pathworks retains ownership of its internal tools, templates and methodologies, and may reference the existence of a completed engagement (without confidential details) for portfolio purposes unless you request otherwise.
7. Confidentiality
Client project material is treated as confidential by default, with or without a signed NDA, as described in our Confidentiality statement.
8. Liability
Pathworks delivers services with reasonable skill and care and stands behind its quality-control process. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from a project is limited to the fees paid for that specific engagement.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “last updated” date on this page.
