A bid deadline, and two photos to work from

The installer needed a bid-ready package fast, and two roof photos plus a satellite screenshot with the usable area circled was genuinely the complete site dataset available before the submission deadline. That's a common starting point for a competitive bid — the installer doesn't yet own the site relationship a full site visit would need, and the bid has to go in regardless.

Sizing the array against real consumption data

The array layout was sized against the circled usable roof area and the site's actual annual consumption profile from a year of utility bills, not a generic per-square-foot assumption. The PVsyst yield simulation used a deliberately conservative near-shading model given the photo-only site data — better to under-promise on a bid than build a yield number on an assumption the installer can't verify until they're on the roof.

A package built around equipment already priced into the bid

The single-line diagram and stringing and cable schedule were built to match equipment the installer had already priced into their bid submission, so nothing in the package forced a re-quote. The interconnection application went in on the utility's current form rather than a generic template — using the wrong or outdated form is one of the most common, and most avoidable, causes of a delayed interconnection review.
